The Brewmaster's selection is a series of distinctive seasonal
specialty beers. Available initially on tap, the beers are
targeted at lovers of both beer and wine and demonstrate
the art of the master brewer.
The first beer in the selection is appropriately named
"Settlers' Original Ale" and has been crafted to reflect earlier
beer styles which require careful bitterness hopping to
survive long sea voyages.
Our brewers have used natural ingredients and traditional
brewing methods to produce this distinctive beer.
Two specialty malted barleys have been blended to give a
subtle biscuity flavour with hints of toffee.
Alpha and N.Z. Saaz hops have added spicy bitterness with
fruity floral overtures. Warm fermentation and aging have
resulted in a beer of high drinkability!
Settler's Original Ale should be served at 4ºC into an ambient
glass to allow the complex aromas and flavours to develop.
We hope you enjoy this truly distinctive ale either on its
own or with seafoods and poultry dishes.
